Project Overview
Late June 2025 Allclear Demolition Services began the task of the complete structural demolition of former industrial premises of warehouse type structures followed by the partial breakout of specific areas of ground bearing slab.
Key Project Steps
Pre-Planning
Asbestos Surveys: Conducted areas of licenced removal works along with large areas of asbestos corrugated cement roof sheets removed prior to structural demolition.
Sequencing: Working alongside Mandale Group’s designated structural engineer, Allclear Demolition Services established a methodical sequence of works to ensure smooth coordination of asbestos removal, soft stripping, and technical sequenced structural demolition.
Asbestos Cement Roof Sheet Removal:
Approx 2,400m2 single skin and double skin asbestos roof sheets were initially removed by operatives working from within MEWP scissor lifts in preparation for structural demolition.
Internal Soft Stripping:
Internal soft strip out of anything not structurally integral to the building were removed, including fixtures and fittings, floor coverings, suspended ceilings, bulk heads, partition walls and M&E
Structural Demolition:
Pre-planning and sequencing was vital prior to structural demolition throughout these works
Equipment Utilization: 30-tonne and 20-tonne excavators with a variety of attachments for were utilised for efficient demolition.
Waste Material Removal:
Utilising excavator with hydraulic breaker attachment, existing concrete hardstanding were broken out and removed from site.
Achievements:
Ahead of Schedule: Completed the project one week earlier than scheduled.
Leadership: Demonstrated outstanding planning, coordination, and communication throughout the project.
